Pressing and holding the spacebar at any time will switch you to the hand tool, where you can pan the image by dragging with the hand tool. Work through the tutorial "Panning, Zooming, and Rotating Views in Photoshop" to learn how to do this. Be sure to try it out yourself.

As we work together through this course, image resolution will be very important to the success you have in Photoshop, and also reducing file size for posting your portfolio exhibits to your online portfolio. A couple of key points to keep in mind:
- When you create or work with your Photoshop files, make sure the shortest side is at least 1000 - 2000 pixels.
- When you save images to upload to your online portfolio, you'll want to make sure that the longest side in no more than 1000 pixels at 72 DPI.
