I have been serving on the Board of Directors for the Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) from 2005-2020. Among my many roles, designing their conference posters was a fun one. Often, I'd have my Photoshop and Graphic Design students create them. For 2015, the state gave us permission to use their "Welcome to Utah" highway signs and repurpose them for our conference. They didn't have the original files, so I had to go off of photos taken at various state border crossings. Then I recreated them from the photos, using Photoshop's filter gallery (posterize), and then painstakingly redrawing all the shapes with the pen tool. Altogether, I created 9 of these posters, which were printed and distributed throughout the state.Click the image to see my portfolio exhibit.
